About the Role
Philippians Consulting is seeking a Medical Education Program Coordinator to deliver sessions to MD students. This role involves presenting interactive educational sessions at Virginia medical schools throughout the state.
This is NOT a traditional “delivery” role. You will be facilitating high-impact educational programming that shapes future physicians’ career decisions. You will have the opportunity to travel throughout Virginia with expenses paid.
What You’ll Do
• Deliver informational sessions to incoming and current Virginia medical students at various medical schools.
• Engage students through interactive discussions, Q&A, and mentorship connections
• Collaborate with medical school administration to coordinate logistics and scheduling
• Represent Philippians Consulting at institutional events and partnership meetings
Who You Are
Required:
• MD, DO, PhD, or advanced degree in healthcare/medical education
• OR Current medical student (M3/M4) with flexible availability
• OR Recent medical school graduate in gap year before residency
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills (comfortable presenting to 50-200 students)
• Knowledge of medical education pathways, residency matching, and physician career planning
• Availability during peak seasons July-September and Feb-May & flexible scheduling throughout the year
• Reliable transportation for travel to Virginia medical schools and undergraduate campuses. Transportation costs are covered by the company.
Preferred:
• Experience in medical student advising, pre-health counseling, or admissions.
• Familiarity with Virginia medical schools and healthcare landscape.
• Background in student engagement, curriculum delivery, or educational programming.
• Connection to Virginia medical education (graduated from or trained in Virginia).
Compensation & Schedule
Pay Structure:
• $750-1,000 per delivered session (1-2 hour programs) with performance bonuses
Time Commitment:
• 10-20 hours per month during peak months (July-August) and (March-May) (flexible scheduling)
Location:
• Hybrid role with travel required to Virginia medical schools (EVMS, UVA, VCU, VCOM, etc)
• Remote work for planning and coordination
