Philipp Litho has established a niche as a high-quality, sheet-fed offset printer of point-of-purchase (POP) displays and labels for the packaging and corrugated industries. We specialize in large-format display solutions, including life-sized stand-up figures, header cards, counter cards, pole stackers, banners, display bins and posters.
We're looking for a motivated Print Production Plant Manager to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in printing who understands the demands of the industry. You will oversee production teams (i.e., prepress, pressroom, bindery and shipping departments).
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Overseeing printing and quality within the pressroom and bindery;
- Managing production employees (maintaining crewing schedules, daily time sheets, and vacations, enforcing company policies, discipline, etc.);
- Directing and supporting production employees with questions, troubleshooting, prioritization of responsibilities;
- Ordering press parts and supplies while keeping track of maintenance and repairs for the presses (having some mechanical knowledge is preferred);
- Assisting in enforcement of continuous improvement and quality initiatives (e.g., reducing waste, increasing efficiency, handling variance reports); and
- Supporting Philipp Litho’s health and safety initiatives.
Candidate Qualifications: Plant Manager must have/be:
- Offset, sheet-fed print industry experience (experience with Large Format Printing and/or KBA presses is preferred);
- Thorough understanding of color management, including GRACol G7 standards;
- Highly motivated, confident, decision-makers;
- Organized, detail-oriented, professional team players; and
- Strong communication skills.
Education and Experience:
- Degree in related field preferred.
- Manufacturing industry experience required.
- Print industry experience required.
