About Commercial

The Commercial organization is responsible for bringing PMI U.S.'s smoke-free product portfolio to legal-age nicotine consumers. Through sales, retail execution, consumer engagement, analytics, and business development, Commercial teams drive market growth, strengthen retail partnerships, and deliver exceptional consumer experiences across the United States.

About The Opportunity

The Territory Sales Manager Intern will gain exposure to field sales and commercial operations while partnering with experienced sales leaders to execute business priorities within an assigned territory. This role offers a unique opportunity to see how strategic business plans are translated into marketplace results and how strong retailer relationships drive business performance.

Interns will spend time in the field alongside sales professionals, analyze market trends, and contribute to projects that support territory growth and consumer engagement.

What You'll Do

• Participate in ride-alongs with Territory Sales Managers to observe retail execution and customer engagement.
• Analyze sales, market, and territory data to identify business opportunities and trends.
• Support territory performance reviews and develop recommendations to improve results.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Marketing, Consumer Experience, and Business Development teams.
• Conduct competitive and market research.
• Assist with retail activation and merchandising initiatives.
• Support projects focused on improving commercial effectiveness and operational efficiency.
• Present project findings and recommendations to business leaders at the conclusion of the internship.
  
  

Who We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor's degree program.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and May 2028.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable using data to generate business insights.
• Demonstrated leadership through academics, student organizations, athletics, work experience, or community involvement.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Interest in sales, consumer products, business development, or commercial strategy.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally within the assigned territory.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  
  

Physical Requirements

Territory Sales Manager Interns must be able to lift, push, pull, reach, conduct overhead work, and carry bags and boxes as part of sales activities (up to 10 lbs. frequently, 20 lbs. occasionally, and up to 50 lbs. infrequently).

Compensation

Hourly Pay: $30.00/hour
