Position Overview
The Health & Well-Being Benefits Manager will lead the health and wellness strategy while overseeing administration of healthcare benefits for both active employees and retirees. This role involves ensuring compliance with plan documents, relevant regulations, providing guidance to former employees, and working closely with P&C and finance teams to optimize benefits programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the healthcare landscape, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to helping employees understand their benefits.

Your ‘day To Day’
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to benefits
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in health & welfare benefit regulations
- Lead the strategic design of health and welfare benefits for the U.S. population, including medical, pharmacy, dental, vision, disability and retiree programs
- Develop multi-year benefit strategies that balance cost containment, employee experience, and health outcomes.
- Evaluate and implement innovative market solutions through RFP or other related activities
- Develop influential, informative, data-driven presentations to communicate strategy, recommendations, and impact to senior leadership
- Breakdown complex benefit concepts into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences
- Develop, implement and evolve Wellness strategy including annual calendar of communication topics
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of benefits, ensuring administrative excellence, compliance, and a fluid employee experience.
- Partner with vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to manage plan performance and service delivery
- Take ownership of Annual Enrollment and deployment strategy partnering with internal stakeholders on execution
- Participate in Ad Hoc projects and perform other duties as requested
- 10 years’ experience with U.S. health benefits strategy and administration, with self-funded plan experience.
- Deep knowledge of the U.S. healthcare ecosystem, including carriers, PBMs, provider networks, and regulatory landscape.
- Experience managing vendor or client relationships and negotiating contracts
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex retirement concepts and explain them effectively to employees.
- Strong presentation skills with experience crafting executive-level decks and strategic narratives
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders through clear, persuasive communication and data storytelling
- Collaborative Approach: Proven ability to partner with HR, Finance, and cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
