Cerrone Architects is searching for a Designer and Revit Drafter with 1 to 5 years of experience to join our team in Fairfield. This role’s primary activities are performed under the direction of the Project Architect and are mainly documentation, research, and minor design tasks that contribute to the overall project. Role Description
Under the direction and supervision of the project team leader, the Revit Drafter performs tasks, including:
- Survey Existing Buildings and document existing conditions.
- Documenting meetings (notes, action items, decisions, bullet points, etc.)
- Produce design, working plans, diagrams, and construction documents, as directed.
- Communicate and understand task assignments and expectations.
- Develop detailing skills and material understanding.
- Create visual and presentation skills (Client Presentations, CD sets, Reports, etc.).
- Undertake job-related research, as directed.
- Gain an understanding of building systems, codes, and construction methods.
- Create presentation renderings 3D walk throughs, promotional materials, etc.
- Establish basic Building and Accessibility code understanding and implementation.
Required Education and Experience
- Associates, B.S. Arch AND
- 1 to 5 years of relevant architectural experience OR
- Equivalent combination of academic and professional experience.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Revit.
- Knowledge of computer software applications (AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
