What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restoration and Remodel Sales Consultant position at Philip Edward Contracting, LLC?
Job Overview
Our estimators inspect the property and build the scope. You bring it home. The Sales Consultant is a dedicated closer responsible for presenting proposals, closing restoration and remodel projects, and relentlessly following up on every open estimate until there is a clear yes or a clear no. You will work alongside our estimator in a structured handoff, pick up the relationship he started, and turn well built scopes into signed contracts. This person is results driven, lives in the CRM, and is on a path to become our Resident Sales Pro, training future reps on our sales process
OBJECTIVES
1. Close the Pipeline: Present proposals and close restoration and remodel projects from company provided leads, taking over from the estimator once the inspection and estimate are complete.
2. Double Estimator Sales: Grow sales from estimator generated proposals to $250,000 in signed revenue per month within 6 months.
3. Raise the Close Rate: Move our estimate to sale ratio to the 65% industry benchmark within 12 months.
4. Convert the Backlog: Work every open estimate in the existing pipeline within your first 30 days and convert at least 20% within 90 days.
5. Structured Handoff: Hold a prebrief with the estimator before every proposal appointment and work from the Accomplish List and handoff notes. Never restart the conversation with the customer.
6. Run the Sales Process: Execute Steps 5 through 8 of our Profectus 8 Step sales process on every appointment: Close, Proposal, Review and Close, and Follow Up. No skipped steps.
7. Relentless Follow Up: Follow up on every unsold proposal within 24 hours with a dated next step. No proposal goes stale.
8. Generate Your Own Business: Build a personal referral pipeline through past customers, partners, and your network, earning a 5% referral bonus on every job you bring in.
9. CRM Discipline: Log everything in HubSpot, same day: every call, text, email, appointment, proposal, and outcome.
10. Resident Sales Pro: Master our sales process and grow into the lead trainer for future sales team members.
Manager Accountability: Prepare for and attend weekly 1 on 1 meetings with the Owner or Sales Manager, reporting pipeline, close rate, and ADL (Average Dollar per Lead).
COMPETENCIES
1. Proven closer: confident asking for the sale and comfortable with high ticket, in home presentations.
2. Objection handling: responds to price, timing, and trust concerns with empathy and conviction, not pressure.
3. Behavioral flexibility: reads the customer’s personality style and adapts the presentation to fit.
4. Financing fluency: presents payment options as a path to affordability, not an afterthought.
5. Persistence: follows up with discipline and treats every open estimate as money on the table.
6. Team player: respects the estimator’s scope and relationship, and works the handoff as one team.
7. CRM rigor: treats HubSpot as the single source of truth; if it is not logged, it did not happen.
8. Self starter: actively prospects referrals, past customers, and community relationships.
9. Professional presence: represents a premium brand in appearance, communication, and follow through.
10. Coachable: eager to train, learn, and grow, and able to teach others what works.
11. Tech savvy: comfortable with CRM software, iPad presentations, e signature, and virtual meetings.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. 2 years of in home, high ticket, or consultative sales experience with a proven close rate is required.
3. Construction, restoration, or remodeling experience is a plus, not required. We train on product and process.
4. Experience with HubSpot or a comparable CRM is preferred.
5. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
6. Ability to pass background check and drug screen
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Regular travel to customer homes and job sites throughout Metro Atlanta, with occasional travel to the Lake Country area.
2. Ability to walk job sites, including areas under active restoration or construction, while following all safety protocols and wearing PPE when required.
Flexibility for occasional evening or weekend appointments to meet customer schedules
