After School Enrichment Program (ASEP) Teacher
Location: 2501 South Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19146
Schedule: Weekdays, Afternoons (After School Hours)
Reports to: Assistant Director of Auxiliary Programs
About the Role
Do you love working with children and sparking their creativity? Our After School Enrichment Program (ASEP) provides a vibrant, fun, and safe space for preschool through grade 5 students to explore, learn, and play after school. Serving over 150 students daily, our program offers theme-based activities that keep young minds engaged and imaginations soaring. As an ASEP Teacher, you’ll be a key part of this energetic environment, helping students feel supported, safe, and inspired every day.
What You’ll Do
- Create a welcoming, nurturing, and engaging space for students after school.
- Lead and support fun, age-appropriate activities that foster learning and creativity.
- Ensure the well-being and safety of all children, following our school’s health and safety policies.
- Assist with attendance, dismissal, and other daily routines.
- Collaborate with the ASEP team to plan and deliver an exciting curriculum that changes with themes.
- Support positive student behavior and communicate effectively with program leadership.
- Help maintain and care for program spaces, materials, and school facilities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continue growing your skills.
- Pitch in with other duties as needed, because teamwork is at the heart of what we do.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
- Previous experience working with children (school, camp, childcare, or related setting).
- Enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine passion for helping kids thrive.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
