Clinical Administrative Assistant - Part Time or Full Time Opportunity

Philadelphia Integrative Medicine (PIM), founded in 2009, is a nurturing workplace and we are known for our good patient care as well as a training site for practicing clinicians. At PIM, we provide cutting edge medicine to equip patients with root cause answers to symptoms and self-care strategies for wellness. Our provider team consists of Institute for Functional Medicine certified and Integrative Medicine fellowship-trained providers.

Expectations, Benefits & Salary:

  • The suitable candidate will be hired as an hourly employee on a W-2 basis.
  • On-site attendance will be required for this role.
  • Monday through Friday (not to exceed 40 hours per week).
  • Medical, 401K, dental, and vision benefits available upon eligibility.
  • Pay starts at $19 per hour with opportunity for advancement based on performance.
  • Minimum 1 year employment strongly preferred.

Essential Job Functions:

Daily clinical support for PIM’s Integrative Medicine Providers includes but is not limited to:

  • Manage scheduling, appointment preparation, and follow-up communication with patients.
  • Process prescription refill requests and manage prior authorization submissions.
  • Facilitate effective communication between providers and patients, serving as key points of contact and support.
  • Perform scanning, electronic data entry, and filing to google drive to maintain accurate and organized records.
  • Prepare patient charts in advance to ensure efficient and informed clinical workflows for providers prior to patient appointments.
  • Assigned individualized and strengths-based tasks tailored to each team member’s expertise and skill set.

Required Qualifications:

  • Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant experience is preferred but not required.
  • Highly motivated, excellent communication skills with warm, engaging professional demeanor.
  • Highly reliable with exceptional integrity and confidentiality.
  • Flexibility and a desire to work and learn independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software, Google Drive, Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, and Adobe Acrobat are a plus.
  • Interest in integrative health is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer and to ambulate intermittently throughout the workday. The employee must be able to type and use a computer for prolonged periods to complete written work and communicate with patients.

Driver's License Requirement:

This role requires a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards. The employee may be responsible for work-related travel, including bank deposits and other business-related tasks.
