Delivery Associate

Philadelphia Dry Ice Company, LLC (PDIC) is a premier distributor of dry ice, packaged ice, and related products in the Greater Philadelphia region. PDIC is searching for a full-time delivery associate to join our team. Key responsibilities include:

• Operate company vehicles in a safe manner at all times. Vehicles include Hino and Isuzu box trucks (19,950 GVW)
• Facilitate the safe and efficient transportation of products using company vehicles
• Products may include, but not be limited to, packaged ice and dry ice.
• Candidates should be capable of lifting awkward loads weighing as much as 50 pounds.
• Obey all traffic rules and regulations and maintain a clean driving record
• Keep current with specified vehicle maintenance cycles
• Loading/unloading products on company vehicles using pallet jacks
• Communicate politely and professionally with customers and peers
• Maintain clean and safe workspaces (facilities and vehicles)
• Keep current with specified equipment maintenance cycles
• Complete any additional tasks as requested, within reason, to keep customers satisfied with service, delivery, products and to maintain a safe working environment

The shift we are filling is for Saturday through Wednesday, with Thursday and Friday off.

The successful candidate will have many of the following attributes:

• Must be willing to work early morning shifts starting as early as 4am.
• A strong moral and ethical foundation
• Must have experience driving 16-26ft box trucks in an urban setting
• Must be dependable, consistent, and on-time
• Humility / lack of ego
• Exceptionally gifted in customer service
• Experience driving commercial vehicles and conducting pickup/drop off operations in urban environments
• Ability to lift awkward loads of up to 50 pounds
• Experience moving heavy loads with eletric pallet jacks and forklifts. Certification is desired but not required.
• Candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment background check, driving history review, and drug screening. Our company has a zero-tolerance policy for substance abuse. Drug screenings will be administered according to Philadelphia and Pennsylvania law and can include pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screening.
