Philadelphia CampusThe assistant director of annual giving is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing comprehensive annual giving strategies to increase donor participation and philanthropic revenue from alumni, donors, and friends of the institution. The role focuses on data-informed solicitation and engagement tactics that strengthen annual gifts and build long-term donor pipelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful incumbent will perform the following duties, with or without reasonable accommodations:
- Develop and execute annual giving campaigns across multiple channels including email, direct mail, digital platforms, and special appeals.
- Analyze donor data to segment audiences, optimize outreach strategies, and improve participation and retention rates.
- Collaborate with Advancement Communications to develop compelling fundraising content and messaging.
- Manage giving days and time-bound campaigns to drive engagement and revenue growth.
- In consultation with Donor Relations, devise stewardship strategies for annual donors to reinforce impact and encourage continued giving.
- Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance metrics and trends.
- Partner with Development to support pipeline development.
- Perform other role-related duties as assigned or requested.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum three years' experience in annual giving, fundraising, or advancement operations.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using donor databases and reporting tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- High level of computer proficiency in fundraising systems and Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Undergraduate degree required; advancement, marketing, or communications background preferred.
Starting Salary:$50,715 annually
The referenced salary range is based on PCOM good faith belief at the time of posting.
