The academic coordinator performs a variety of administrative activities to support instructional content planning and delivery, provides administrative support to academic course directors by assisting with the maintenance of course materials, coordination of instructional delivery, and completion of academic reporting activities. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, arranging course logistics, compiling course materials; and providing academic support to students. This role also collaborates with other departments, such as student affairs, to identify and resolve issues related to student’s academic progress.

Starting Salary: $50,000 annually
The referenced salary range is based on PCOM good faith belief at the time of posting. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Carries out responsibilities as directed by the course director and/or Faculty
- Creates student groups and detailed rotation schedules for each term
- Maintains calendars for teaching faculty and students
- Reserves and confirms space for course sessions
- Creates documents outlining details of each session for both faculty and students
- Compiles all handouts/rubrics and other materials needed for term
- Builds and maintains updated Blackboard course and grade center each term
- Tracks faculty attendance to assure adequate coverage for sessions
- Maintains updated student roster and tracks attendance
- Sets up for lab sessions and assists the simulation team and course director as requested
- Collects and post grades on Blackboard
- Maintains grade book, collects, compiles, and submits all student grades
- Coordinates make up for missed labs and assessments as needed
- Communicates with students regarding course information, updates, instructions, and/or changes
- Tracks and maps curricular activities to database
- Works in ExamSoft to create written assessments
- Other duties as assigned by the course director and Chair of Clinical Education
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required
- A minimum of three years’ experience as an administrative assistant in a fast-paced office with preference given to college or university environment.
- Working in institutions of higher education 3 years preferred
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Preferred experience with BlackBoard, ExamSoft or comparable platforms
