Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the service department staff, including technicians, service writers, and support staff
- Ensure efficient workflow and productivity in the service department
- Monitor and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing customer concerns and resolving any issues
- Develop and implement strategies to increase service department profitability
- Oversee the scheduling of service appointments and ensure timely completion of repairs
- Maintain accurate records of all service transactions and customer interactions
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in automotive technology
- Provide training and guidance to service department staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in automotive service management or a similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive diagnostics
- Proven track record of successfully managing a team in a dealership environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient in using computer software for service writing, auto estimating, and other related tasks
- Knowledge of air brake systems, oil changes, suspensions, and other automotive services
