About the Role:
The Communications Manager will report directly to the Director of Communications and play a key role in shaping and executing the brand’s communications strategy across external and internal channels. This position requires a strong writer and strategic thinker who can translate complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with leadership, marketing, and cross‑functional teams to ensure the brand’s voice is consistent, inspiring, and aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement integrated communications strategies that support brand positioning, product launches, and organizational initiatives.
• Create and manage content for press materials, executive messaging, newsletters, blogs, and digital platforms.
• Partner with marketing teams to align communications with campaigns, events, and promotional activities.
• Support internal communications by helping to manage employee updates, newsletters, and engagement initiatives that reinforce culture and transparency.
• Assist executive leadership with speechwriting, talking points, and presentations for conferences, panels, and industry events.
• Oversee the development of brand storytelling across owned channels, including website, social media, and thought leadership platforms.
• Collaborate with design and digital teams to ensure communications are visually compelling and consistent with brand guidelines.
• Establish and maintain editorial calendars to ensure timely delivery of communications across multiple platforms.
• Track and analyze communications performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Manage vendor and agency relationships to ensure high‑quality execution of communications initiatives.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering professional growth and development.
• Ensure all communications adhere to regulatory and compliance standards relevant to the health and wellness industry.
• Identify opportunities to enhance brand visibility through partnerships, community engagement, and industry collaborations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in communications or related disciplines, preferably within health, wellness, or consumer lifestyle industries.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt tone and style to varied audiences.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Collaborative mindset with proven ability to work effectively across departments and with senior leadership.
• Familiarity with digital communications tools, analytics platforms, and content management systems.
• Knowledge of the New York City market and health and wellness trends is a plus.
Salary : $95,000 - $110,000
