The EHS Specialist is responsible for identifying hazards, ensuring compliance, supporting safety training, and assisting with incident investigations and regulatory interactions. The position offers strong exposure to field operations and the opportunity to grow within a structured EHS program while working closely with leadership and associates.
This position reports to the EHS Director and is part of the EHS Department located in Torrance, CA and will be an on-site role.
In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
Make recommendations for the elimination or control of hazardous conditions and behaviors Provide leadership in incident management scene stabilization, and evacuation procedures Use hazard monitoring equipment, and analyze results to determine spill response. Communicate with regulatory agencies, when appropriate Conduct EHS Monthly Safety Training and safety inspections
The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include
The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field
- 1-4 years of EHS experience
- Basic knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other government regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to travel – list specifics 5% travel, within territory or locations to offsite warehouse.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 25lb, any other physical requirements
- First Aid/CPR Class
- Forklift Train the Trainer
- Hazardous Waste
- Fire Life Safety
