SUMMARY
The Certified Nursing Assistant is trained to provide care in the clinic setting to patients under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse or a Registered Nurse. Compliance with rules and regulations of all applicable federal, state and local laws as well as PMHC policies is a condition of employment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Incumbent must have the skills, ability and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Assists in the collection of assessment data, such as vital signs and intake/output. Subjective and objective data are reported to Clinic Nurse in Charge.
- Provides care that meets the patient's needs such as repositioning, dressing and ambulating, for patients of all ages.
- Collects laboratory specimens.
- Creates and maintains a comfortable and safe environment for patients, families, and visitors.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reports directly to the Director of Phelps Medical Group.

REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Completion of an approved nursing assistant or certified medical assistant course.
COMPETENCIES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Currently licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Nebraska.
