Compensation
- Hourly Pay Range: $28.00 – $34.00 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

Key Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas within Phelps County to prevent crime, enforce laws, and protect life and property.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, accidents, and citizen complaints during the night shift.
- Conduct thorough initial investigations, gather evidence, and prepare detailed, accurate reports.
- Apprehend and arrest suspects, execute warrants, and testify truthfully in court proceedings.
- Build positive relationships with the community through proactive, respectful interaction.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- US Citizenship and no felony convictions.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, psychological evaluation, and physical fitness test.
- Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center (NLETC) certification is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
