Technology Support Rep (Help Desk Technician)

This position is open to be filled in either of our Markets (Rolla or Springfield).

The Technology Support Representative provides support to all departments and branches within the bank on matters relating to personal computers and peripherals, mobile devices, software, software services, multifunction printers, telephones, ATMs, and video surveillance equipment.

  • Outcomes and Responsibilities** *(Other duties may be assigned)*
  • Provide technical support and documentation for the software and hardware being utilized within the bank to internal and external customers. Including but not limited to:
  • Full suite of Microsoft 365 apps.
  • Computers, peripherals, mobile devices, and printers.
  • ATMs and video surveillance cameras and software.
  • Inventory, stage, document and deploy all client computers, peripherals, mobile devices, telephones, and surveillance cameras.
  • Test, install, support, and document client operating systems, software applications, service packs, upgrades, updates, patches, and hot fixes in accordance with Phelps County Banks current Information Security Program.
  • Conduct first level hardware and software systems analysis. Identify problems and needs and recommend system modifications and enhancements. Make recommendations for procedural creation and modification and provide approved updates.
  • Maintain educational and professional expertise through attendance at job related seminars, conferences, and workshops.
  • Qualifications and Education Requirement**s
  • Associate degree in a related field;
  • Or two years of related experience and/or training;
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Reading and interpreting various documents and policies, writing reports, and communicating effectively and appropriately with colleagues and customers.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting practical problems.
  • Ability to learn new tools and equipment at a fast pace, willingness to pursue and maintain industry certifications and licensures including but not limited to CompTIA Network , CompTIA Security , Microsoft Azure Administrator, other Microsoft certifications to support Windows Servers and services.
  • Position requires the ability to work before or after normal business hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and/or holidays, to meet deadlines and attend various meetings, which may include overtime hours.

**Essential Functions**

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
