Job Purpose And Summary
PHEAA is looking for a video intern for the summer of 2026. If you have a solid portfolio of video production work that shows your creative talents AND you’re active on social media – let’s talk. Our ideal intern is someone who already knows how to develop engaging videos/reels/TikTok’s and can use that skill set to help our marketing department promote our products, services, and educational message to our audiences on social media. This individual will also come up with creative ideas on what to film or how to best to produce content. You’ll be part of the projects from idea formation to editing to content publishing. This is a great opportunity to get a ton of hands-on experience, further advance your skill set, and build your portfolio.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Social Media/Video Production
Assist in the creation and development of multimedia (audio/video/animation) content for customer stories, external promotional social videos, and product marketing videos.
Develop scripts and storyboards of video projects prior to execution.
Ensure creative output meets PHEAA brand style guidelines.
Work independently, as well as part of a team to establish project deliverables.
Collaborate closely with internal staff to help in the creation of multimedia content.
Record and edit video and sound projects, including selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating, and inserting static and motion graphics, adding music/voice-over/sound effects, media management and archiving project media.
Collaborate with designers to utilize graphics that would support strong visuals within a video.
Upload final files to the video library.
Knowledgeable of best practices in video production and digital trends.
Other Duties And Responsibilities
Create non-social media videos for other agency initiatives.
Comply with the Agency’s enterprise security and privacy policies and departmental procedures.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Skills
High School Diploma or GED and some college level courses with seasoned experience creating engaging videos and have taken courses in audio/visual, design, etc.
Experience and high level of confidence with video editing software such as Capcut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, or similar platforms.
A commitment to producing high quality results within strict deadlines.
Video experience includes familiarity with handheld cameras (cell phones, digital cameras), professional cameras various HD and SD formats, preproduction/planning, scriptwriting, storyboarding and photography.
Ability to edit and use video templates from Envato.
Post-production entails digital video editing, still and motion graphics design, and video compression for multiple delivery platforms.
Active social media presence across multiple platforms.
Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
Strong communication skills, ability to not only write scripts when necessary, but also speak to and direct/instruct on camera individuals.
Effective time management, organization, and prioritization.
Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform via written, oral, and visual media.
