What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Development Specialist position at PHDC?
A Senior Development Specialist performs highly specialized and technical work in support of public and privately assisted programs and projects generally designed to produce community development projects, including, but not limited to, business, economic and residential developments. Employees in this class perform duties under the general supervision and assignment of the Director of Construction and the Chief Operating Officer (COO). Employees have a wide range of general responsibilities, including assisting the COO in monitoring project developments, analysis of financial feasibility, and preparation of documentation relating to major development projects, preparation of marketing information, preparation of funding proposals, providing technical assistance through existing and innovative forums, workshops and programs, and communicating program policies and procedures for profit and non-profit corporations.
Employees in this class must be able to train other Development and Housing Development Specialist, monitor their work assignments, and perform other related duties as directed by the Department Director and/or the COO.
Contact with representatives of community groups, contractors and other agency departments and related housing agencies to coordinate project activities and resolve complaints relating to project developments are significant aspects of the work.
