Duties
- Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Conduct floor care procedures such as buffing, polishing, and carpet cleaning to preserve flooring quality.
- Maintain restrooms, break areas, and common spaces ensuring they are hygienic and well-stocked.
- Support facilities maintenance activities including minor repairs and reporting larger issues to management.
- Assist with industrial or commercial cleaning projects as needed, utilizing appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all cleaning operations to prevent accidents or hazards.
- Monitor supply levels and restock cleaning materials as necessary to ensure operational efficiency.
- Support overall building upkeep by performing light maintenance tasks such as painting touch-ups or minor repairs when required.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in commercial or industrial settings.
- Skills in floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors are highly desirable.
- Experience with residential painting or facilities maintenance can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning procedures and equipment operation is advantageous.
