We are seeking a detail-oriented AutoCAD Specialist to support our facilities team with interior layout design, space planning, and ongoing occupancy updates across office and operational environments. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate interior floor plans, updating building layouts following renovations, and ensuring workspace designs meet safety, ergonomic, and operational requirements.
This is a hands-on, full-time drafting and space-management role requiring accuracy, strong communication, and the ability to translate business needs into precise AutoCAD drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain interior floor plans, seating layouts, and space utilization maps using AutoCAD.
- Update building layouts related to office moves, renovations, construction changes, and safety modifications.
- Support space planning efforts by creating layout options, workstation arrangements, and occupancy scenarios based on user requirements.
- Ensure all drawings reflect the most current building conditions, furniture configurations, safety features, and square-foot allocations.
- Coordinate with project managers, facilities staff, engineers, and leadership to gather requirements and incorporate changes accurately.
- Conduct field verifications and onsite measurements to validate existing conditions before updating drawings.
- Assist with maintaining space planning databases, occupancy reports, and seating assignments.
- Support safety and compliance initiatives by updating egress paths, signage locations, emergency plans, and code-driven layout changes.
- Organize, file, and maintain drawing libraries
- Prepare drawings, diagrams, and supporting visuals for presentations, renovation proposals, and operational planning.
- Perform additional drafting or facilities support tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience working with AutoCAD in facilities, architectural, interior, or engineering environments.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, including layers, blocks, x-refs, and space-planning tools.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, building plans, and construction documents.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce clean, accurate, and organized drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
- Comfortable conducting onsite measurements and verifying field conditions.
Pay: $25-$30/hr.
