Full-Time Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a busy primary care practice in Waxhaw, NC!
This is a great opportunity for a motivated Medical Assistant who enjoys working directly with patients and supporting a collaborative healthcare team.
Key ResponsibilitiesRoom patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories
Assist physicians and providers with examinations and minor procedures
Perform EKGs, blood draws, injections, and specimen collection
Complete CLIA-waived testing and patient screenings
Manage patient calls, medication refills, and prior authorizations
Coordinate referrals, laboratory results, and follow-up appointments
Maintain accurate EHR documentation
Prepare examination rooms and maintain medical supplies
Provide occasional coverage at nearby office locations
Current Medical Assistant certification
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program (CAAHEP or ABHES)
Current BLS certification
Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Assistant experience or completed medical-office externship
Experience with EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, and vital signs
Strong communication and organizational skills
Experience working with electronic medical records
