What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cash Management Associate position at Phaxis?
This opportunity is entirely remote, inviting applicants from all time zones to apply. The role requires working any 8-hour period between 6am and 5pm PST. Candidates with a background in treasury are highly desirable, as the position needs individuals capable of starting with minimal guidance.
Key Responsibilities- Execute daily cash disbursement tasks in alignment with company standards.
- Maintain effective communication with agent banks and business units to ensure seamless payment processes.
- Address cash disbursement queries and conduct internal investigations as needed.
- Provide funding assistance to Treasury across various product lines, including Fixed Income, Money Market, Derivative, Structured Product, Broker Dealer, Loans, and other trading sectors.
- Validate projected balances and confirm real-time positions, focusing on intraday liquidity.
- Analyze cash positions, general ledger, and balance sheets of traders' portfolios to ensure proper funding.
- Ensure correct cost of carry allocation is applied to the respective business lines.
- Communicate with different bank departments regarding positions, specific transactions, and related cash movements.
- Collaborate with various front office areas concerning daily cash requirements and balances.
- Support traders with late trades and position management for all relevant currencies, contributing to the Global FX initiative.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency with Internet and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with PC for Windows and SAP software.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Ability to adhere to Bank and Industry Codes of Conduct.
- Dedication to continuous learning, including participation in educational workshops.
