GENERAL MANAGER & ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER – LAUNDRY OPERATIONS
BRONX & QUEENS, NY

General Manager: $25/hour
Assistant General Manager: $20–$21/hour
Both positions: 40 hours per week
We are hiring a General Manager and an Assistant General Manager to oversee Laundry Fluff & Fold Attendants and Porters across 9 laundromat locations, with expansion to 40 stores planned for January.
The Assistant General Manager will report to the General Manager and support daily operations with a smaller scope of responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supervise laundry attendants and porters across multiple stores
• Manage employee schedules, coverage, attendance, and performance
• Be available by phone/computer at shift changes—6:00 AM, 2:00 PM, and 10:00 PM—to confirm staff attendance and arrange replacements as needed
• Serve as the main contact for staff needs and operational issues at any hour
• Coordinate employee training
• Order supplies and monitor inventory needs
• Visit stores throughout the week to support staff and oversee operations
• Monitor daily operations and maintain consistent customer service
• Resolve customer concerns and employee issues
• Work closely with the chain’s owners and communicate staffing needs, operational updates, and concerns
• Support operations as the business expands
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bilingual English/Spanish required
• Previous management experience in laundry services, laundromats, retail, housekeeping, or a similar environment preferred
• Must have a car and be able to travel easily to all Bronx and Queens locations
• Must be comfortable working directly with the owners
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage staffing needs and daily operational priorities
• Dependable, hands-on, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible availability to address staffing and operational needs outside regular hours
WORK ARRANGEMENT:
Expect to work primarily in person initially, with the potential for more remote work as operations become established and run smoothly. Regular store visits will still be required.
Salary : $20 - $25
