Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic School Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 academic year to support students' developmental and functional needs within the school environment. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities to develop tailored intervention plans.
- Implement therapeutic strategies to improve fine motor skills, handwriting, sensory integration, and self-care activities such as dressing and grooming.
- Collaborate with teachers, speech therapists, physical therapists, and families to create cohesive care plans that support each student’s unique needs.
- Assist students with activities of daily living (ADLs) within the school setting to promote independence and participation in classroom activities.
- Provide training and consultation to school staff on strategies for supporting students with disabilities, including those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Participate in discharge planning for students transitioning between different care settings or returning to school after medical treatment.
- Maintain detailed documentation of interventions, progress notes, and care plans in compliance with school policies and healthcare regulations.
- Support students in acute care situations or those requiring specialized attention due to medical conditions or post-acute care needs.
