The Opportunity
We’re seeking a passionate and skilled Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of engineering excellence, driving innovative solutions and delivering projects that push the limits of design and technology.
What You’ll Do:
- Plan and design the civil/structural design of above and below grade of substation, PV and BESS yards, and transmission lines.
- Create detailed calculation reports for foundations (slabs, piers, spread foundations, steel piles, retaining walls, etc.)
- Create detailed calculation reports for steel and masonry structures and anchorage.
- Create detailed calculation reports for rigid bus and oil containment.
- Review geotechnical reports and requirements. Create job specific geotechnical specifications.
- Prepare and collaborate on the preparation of civil/structural design documents for construction.
- Participate in collaborative whiteboarding sessions to coordinate concepts and design challenges as they arise.
What We’re Looking For:
Must be authorized to work in the United States as this position is not eligible for sponsorship
Expertise: 0 years of related work experience and have worked for an electrical design firm, design build contractor, or utility specializing in substation and/or T&D.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Civil or Structural.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office software: WORD, EXCEL, TEAMS, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with 3D analysis software: RISA 3D (Preferred)/SAP 2000, or equivalent.
- Experience with foundation design software: RISA Foundation, L-Pile, FAD Tools
- Experience with anchorage design software: Hilti Profis, Dewalt Design Assist, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge in concrete design, steel design, and structural analysis.
- Exposure to design codes: IBC, ASCE 7/MOP 113, AISC 360, ACI 318, IEEE 605/693, TMS 402
- Knowledge of geotechnical concepts and parameters.
Licensing: Active or working toward an Engineer in Training Certification (E.I.T.).
