Phase Shift Ventures (www.phaseshiftventures.com) is an Orlando early-stage venture firm focused on backing Florida’s next generation of deep tech companies. We invest in founders building in deep tech, aerospace and defense tech, dual-use tech, advanced materials, robotics, AI, and other frontier technologies, and help them access the capital, networks, and strategic support needed to scale.
We are seeking a high-caliber MBA candidate to work directly with the Managing Partner on investment opportunities, investor-facing initiatives, and portfolio, fundraising, and ecosystem strategy.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, select, and implement a CRM system to manage investor, founder, and ecosystem relationships
- Screen and evaluate inbound startups to identify venture-scale opportunities
- Build concise investment memos assessing market, team, differentiation, and risk
- Support fundraising and investor relations operations including LP outreach, meeting support, materials preparation, CRM management, and ongoing communications
- Execute investor and ecosystem initiatives including events and targeted outreach
Requirements
· MBA candidate required
· Technical undergraduate degree preferred
· Interest in venture capital, startups, and deep tech sectors
· Strong analytical and research ability
· Excellent writing and communication skills
· Self-starter comfortable operating with limited structure
Work Details
- Location: Orlando / hybrid
- Duration: Semester-based
- Time Commitment: ~15 hours per week
