Position Overview

As a Direct Support Professional with PHASE-Industries, you will provide compassionate, person-centered support that empowers individuals with developmental disabilities to live, work, and thrive in their communities. You’ll assist with daily living activities, skill-building, employment support, and community engagement while ensuring dignity, safety, and respect at all times.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and person-centered care for individuals at our location in Marshall (we do have openings at our other locations as well, see other postings)
• Assist some with daily living activities such as self-care, meals, mobility, and hygiene
• Facilitate community involvement, recreational activities, and employment training
• Implement behavioral support strategies, crisis prevention, and de-escalation techniques (we provide the training)
• Dispense medications (after training and certification)
• Provide safe transportation for the individuals that we serve
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes for all individuals
• Uphold PHASE-Industries’ Code of Ethics, policies, and participant rights

Qualifications

• Belief that everything PHASE-Industries does should be designed to help individuals unlock, discover and develop their potential to fully participate in the world around them, including freely & equitably accessing competitive integrated employment.
• High School diploma or equivalent; be 18 years old
• Valid Minnesota driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to pass background check, motor vehicle record check (MVR), and insurance requirements
• Willingness to complete First Aid & CPR certification (training provided)
• Compassion, patience, and commitment to helping individuals achieve their goals
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn

Pay: $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 39.9 per week
