About the Role:
Our client, a leading project management and advisory services firm specializing in capital project delivery, is seeking an experienced Project Manager (PMO) to support major infrastructure initiatives within the power and utilities industry. The selected individual will play a key role in overseeing project governance, coordination, and performance for a large-scale transmission program.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide leadership and direction within a cross-functional, matrixed organization to ensure successful project delivery.
- Oversee the full project lifecycle — from initiation and planning through execution and closeout — ensuring alignment with scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
- Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), cost baselines, and risk registers to ensure effective tracking and control.
- Facilitate team engagement, communication, and problem resolution to maintain productivity and commitment across departments.
- Monitor project performance indicators (SPI, CPI) and proactively identify areas for improvement.
- Manage multiple stakeholders, including contractors, third-party developers, interconnection customers, and regulatory entities.
- Support quality assurance, environmental compliance, and safety initiatives across all project phases.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project communications, change management, and reporting to senior leadership.
- Resolve project-related issues and disputes, ensuring alignment between contractual obligations and operational goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline (required).
- 5–10 years of experience in program or project management within large-scale utility, transmission, or infrastructure projects.
- Proven ability to manage project budgets, cost control, and risk mitigation for multi-million-dollar initiatives.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and stakeholder management in the utilities sector.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (experience with Primavera P6 is a plus).
- Professional designations such as PMP, PgMP, or P.Eng. are preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with a track record of building collaborative partnerships.
