Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, responding to incidents, and enforcing regulations. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a commitment to ensuring the safety of personnel and property.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Prepare detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations for management review.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary to ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Monitor surveillance equipment and maintain awareness of surroundings to identify potential threats.
- Complete HOURLY patrols on foot of the property.
- Required to wear a full Uniform (provided) Full Duty belt.
- Required to have a Valid Driver's License.
- Job Posting is for 12 Hour Shift Overnight.
- Thurs- 10p-4am, Fri- 4p-4am, Sat- 4p-4am, Sun- 4p-4am
Skills
- Strong observational skills with the ability to assess situations quickly and accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and interaction with others.
- Familiarity with security protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies related to security systems is beneficial.
- Understanding of architecture principles related to security systems is an asset.
- Proficiency in Release management processes ensures timely updates of security measures.
