Position: BAS Engineer - Siemens
PharmEng Technology is a leading provider of engineering and consulting services to the pharmaceutical industry. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced BAS Engineer to join our team in Columbus, OH.
The BAS Engineer will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining building automation systems (BAS) for our clients in the pharmaceutical industry. This includes working with Siemens products and systems to ensure that our clients' facilities are running efficiently and in compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement BAS solutions for pharmaceutical facilities, utilizing Siemens Teamcenter.
- Conduct site surveys and gather requirements for new projects
- Develop technical specifications and documentation for BAS projects
- Install and configure BAS equipment and systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with existing BAS systems
- Conduct testing and commissioning of BAS systems
- Provide training and support to clients on the use and maintenance of BAS systems
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in BAS technology
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, installing, and maintaining BAS systems, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
- Proficiency in Siemens products and systems, including Desigo CC and Apogee
- Strong understanding of building automation protocols, such as BACnet and Modbus
- Experience with programming and troubleshooting PLCs and DDC controllers
- Knowledge of FDA regulations and GMP guidelines for pharmaceutical facilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed
