Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Policy Administration
- Serves as a point of contact for employees and managers for HR inquiries, providing guidance on company policies, procedures, and handbook provisions.
- Assists with workplace investigations by scheduling meetings, gathering and organizing documentation, taking notes, and managing follow-up; partners with the HR Director on findings and outcomes.
- Ensure managers have accurate, policy-aligned documentation for employee relations matters and reviews for completeness before any action is taken.
- Maintains appropriate professional boundaries with all staff to preserve objectivity and effectiveness in sensitive HR matters.
- Oversees the performance management process by coordinating PIPs and corrective action documentation, tracking deadlines, and ensuring manager follow-through; reviews formal disciplinary actions with the HR Director prior to delivery.
- Audits and maintains accurate records of all performance and disciplinary actions in the HRIS, ensuring documentation is complete and properly filed.
- Coordinates and oversees the employee offboarding process, ensuring separation documentation is accurate and all required steps are completed; reviews of terminations and involuntary separations with the HR Director before execution.
- Conducts exit interviews, documents feedback and ensures accurate separation records are maintained in the HRIS.
- Manages leave requests end-to-end, receiving requests, ensuring required documentation is collected, tracking leave status, and communicating timelines and return-to-work expectations to employees and managers.
- Reviews leave cases for accuracy and compliance, escalating complex determinations and accommodation decisions to the HR Director as needed.
- Tracks and monitors compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training and certifications, following up on gaps and reporting status regularly.
- Reviews and submits unemployment claim responses, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversees workers’ compensation reporting and return-to-work coordination.
- Manages government survey submissions and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Analyzes HR data and compiles reports to support KPI tracking and departmental decision-making.
- Ensures data integrity in Paylocity by reviewing status changes and employee updates for accuracy.
- Helps maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations in partnership with the HR Director.
- Provides support across other HR functions as needed to ensure the department operates effectively as a team.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 2–3 years of human resources experience or similar.
- Familiarity with HR practices and employment-related laws and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and handle sensitive matters with integrity, objectivity, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations, including FMLA and ADA.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; general understanding of payroll practices required.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must be adaptable and flexible in working with a diverse workforce.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
- Experience with Paylocity HRIS.
- Exposure to FMLA, ADA, or leave administration processes.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at our facility.
