Key Responsibilities
- Assist the pharmacist in accurately filling and dispensing prescription medications.
- Receive and process prescription orders from patients, physicians, and healthcare providers.
- Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory, including receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and flagging low-supply items.
- Handle point-of-sale transactions, process insurance claims, and assist patients with billing questions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients to answer general inquiries and direct complex questions to the pharmacist.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (required).
- Possession of or willingness to obtain applicable state pharmacy technician registration or licensure as required by state law.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working directly with patients.
- Basic computer proficiency; experience with pharmacy software is a plus but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and manage a busy, team-oriented workspace.
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
