Key Responsibilities
- Operate the front shop register, process customer transactions accurately, and maintain a welcoming, organized checkout area.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, locate items throughout the store, and escalate clinical or prescription-related questions to the pharmacist or pharmacy technician.
- Manage front shop inventory, including stocking shelves, receiving deliveries, merchandising displays, and flagging low-supply items.
- Assist customers with general billing and payment questions at the point of sale.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant environment in accordance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA requirements when in proximity to the pharmacy counter.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with customers, fostering a positive in-store experience.
- Support the broader pharmacy team with general workflow tasks during busy periods, as needed.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
- Friendly, professional communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging directly with customers.
- Basic computer proficiency; experience with point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented setting.
- No prior pharmacy experience required — on-the-job training provided.
