\Job Overview: As a Medical Policy Pharmacist with our company, you will have the opportunity to grow your pharmaceutical skills under the direct guidance of a state-licensed pharmacist while providing essential care to patients in our closed-door pharmacy. You will work Monday through Friday between 7:30am-6:30pm, with flexible schedules available.
\Your Responsibilities: Will include:

- Maintaining patient/resident databases to include current and past medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medication information. \
- Making recommendations for therapy changes to physicians and facility staff as appropriate. \
- Ensuring that laboratory tests for monitoring certain high-risk conditions are ordered, evaluated, and discussed with healthcare team members. \
- Documenting all communication with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members and patients/residents and their family members in the medical record. \
- Implementing policies and procedures for the safe procurement, storage, distribution, and use of drugs and biologicals. \
- Obtaining and maintaining required documentation in accordance with federal and state regulatory agencies and policy. \
- Informing the Pharmacy Manager of medication-related errors. \

Your Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required, along with licensure to practice as a pharmacist in the applicable state. Experience working in long-term care settings and knowledge of I/DD populations is highly desirable.
