Responsibilities

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure Safety: Safeguard the well-being of all clinical subjects in our groundbreaking studies.
  • Lead Clinical Trials: Conduct and oversee clinical trials, ensuring impeccable data integrity.
  • Master Protocols: Dive deep into study protocol requirements and procedures.
  • Attend SIM: Be a key player at Site Initiation Meetings (SIM).
  • Data Excellence: Ensure accurate data collection and documentation.
  • Protocol Compliance: Maintain strict protocol compliance; report deviations and IRB as needed.
  • Resource Management: Ensure adequate resources for successful study execution.
  • Delegate Duties: Assign trial-related tasks based on training, experience, and licensure.
  • Handle AEs: Diagnose and treat adverse events (AEs); document and report to sponsor and IRB.
  • IRB Coordination: Manage initial approval and ongoing study review by IRB; prepare and submit reports.
  • Product Management: Ensure proper use and storage of investigational products; report any deficiencies.
  • Effective Communication: Engage with subjects, research team, and IRB seamlessly.
  • Staff Training: Provide comprehensive training to clinical staff.
  • Schedule Management: Develop monthly OD schedules and handle administrative tasks.
  • Logistics Assistance: Assist with subject schedule logistics.
  • PI Responsibilities: Fulfill Principal Investigator (PI) duties for medical device trials per applicable guidance (e.g., 21 CFR Part 50, ISO 14144) and study protocol.
  • Innovative Participation: Contribute to study design, execution, and post-analysis.

Qualifications

You are:

  • Experienced: With a minimum of 3 years of optometry experience.
  • Licensed: Holder of a current Doctor of Optometry license in Georgia (USA).
