What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Associate – IHC / Assay Investigation position at Pharmaceutical Company?
We are hiring a Research Associate II to support Investigation & Sustainability (On-Market Support) activities within a Product Care & Quality Team. This role focuses on assay- and reagent-based investigations to evaluate product performance, quality, and compliance for on-market diagnostic products.
You will work hands-on in the lab with staining reagents and histology workflows, collaborating cross-functionally with Quality, Manufacturing, and Product Development teams to troubleshoot and resolve product-related issues.
🔬 Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute experimental protocols to investigate reagent and assay performance
- Perform hands-on lab work including staining workflows (IHC, H&E, etc.)
- Analyze experimental data and prepare technical reports and summaries
- Troubleshoot assay or reagent-related issues and perform root cause analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Manufacturing, and Customer Support
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with quality and regulatory standards
- Participate in failure investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
🎓 Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or related field
- 2 years of hands-on laboratory experience
