What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Shift Tow Truck Operator position at Phantom Towing?
Phantom Towing is looking for a reliable and motivated Night Shift Tow Truck Driver to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who prefers working overnight, can operate independently, and takes pride in providing fast, professional service to customers in need.
You’ll be responsible for roadside assistance, towing services, and transporting vehicles safely using a rollback or truck & trailer setup.
Responsibilities
- Respond to roadside assistance calls (lockouts, jump starts, tire changes, etc.)
- Safely tow and transport vehicles using rollback or truck & trailer
- Communicate with dispatch and customers professionally
- Perform basic vehicle inspections before and after shifts
- Ensure all jobs are completed efficiently and safely
- Maintain cleanliness and care of assigned truck
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
- Ability to drive a truck & trailer (VERY IMPORTANT)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to work overnight hours consistently
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Pay & Benefits
- Commission-based pay: 30%–40% of gross (based on experience/performance)
