Phantom Screens of Central Indiana is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team. As part of our team, you recognize and cultivate potential sales leads, travel to meet with prospective clients, and endeavor to transform one-off sales into lasting beneficial relationships. This role involves engaging with potential clients, promoting our motorized and retractable screens, and expanding our market presence through direct customer interactions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships. Experience in design or construction fields is highly valued to effectively serve customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with CEO to develop promotional strategies tailored to local markets.
  • Conduct outreach to prospective clients in assigned territory.
  • Travel within your territory to meet clients one-on-one
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed targets
  • Present product offerings, including solar and energy solutions, to potential customers
  • Utilize CRM software to track leads, follow-ups, and sales activities
  • Negotiate and close sales by addressing customer needs and objections effectively
  • Support customers after initial sales to ensure satisfaction and realize opportunities for further sales
  • Maintain a deep understanding of product features, industry trends, and competitive landscape
  • Build strong relationships with customers through exceptional customer service and technical support
  • Lead community engagement efforts to increase brand awareness and market penetration

Requirements

  • A self-starting personality with a spirit of entrepreneurship
  • Proven experience in outside sales, marketing, or related fields, preferably in design or construction
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals
  • Experience with CRM software as well as Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer outreach and client presentations
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate leadership qualities, and manage time efficiently
  • Customer service orientation with a focus on building long-term client relationships
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the designated territory

Compensation

  • Overall compensation is a hybrid structure that combines a fixed base salary with performance-based commissions
  • Initial fixed base salary will ramp down over sales training period
