Duties
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and presentation that meet quality standards.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff on food safety protocols, proper food handling, and cooking techniques to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.
- Coordinate shift schedules, manage labor costs, and ensure staffing levels align with business needs.
- Lead staff hiring, onboarding, training & development initiatives to build a motivated and skilled team.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations, food safety standards, and sanitation procedures across all kitchen operations.
- Analyze profit & loss reports to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings.
- Support catering events, banquet services, or special functions as needed to expand our culinary offerings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service management within quick service or fast food restaurants; fine dining or casual dining experience is highly valued.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary arts with relevant certifications preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing hospitality teams with effective team leadership skills.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices, food safety management (including HACCP), and sanitation standards.
- Experience supervising staff through interviewing, training & development programs; ability to motivate teams toward excellence.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage shift operations efficiently under pressure.
- Background in restaurant management or hospitality management with a focus on profit & loss analysis and budgeting.
- Strong communication skills coupled with a customer service-oriented mindset.
- Previous experience working in hotel or catering environments is advantageous; barista or coffee experience is a plus.
