Overview
We are seeking a skilled Drafter to join our dynamic team, for residential home builds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating detailed schematics and mechanical designs using advanced drafting software. This role requires proficiency in CAD applications and an eye for precision, as you will be responsible for producing high-quality drawings that meet project specifications. If you are passionate about design and eager to contribute to innovative projects, we encourage you to apply. We work 7-4 M-F, with an hour lunch break. Preferred experience: comments with the city.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed schematics and technical drawings based on project requirements.
- Utilize software such as AutoCAD, and to create 2D and 3D models.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure designs align with mechanical specifications.
- Draft layouts for various projects, including building plans and mechanical components.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation and reports.
- Revise and update drawings as needed based on feedback or changes in project scope.
- Employ Sketchup for conceptual designs and presentations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices throughout the drafting process.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD.
- Experience with mechanical design principles and drafting techniques.
- Familiarity with 2D animation tools is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on multiple projects simultaneously.
- A degree or certification in drafting is preferred but not required.

After being a vendor with our company for 120 days, we give a 5 day vendor bonus off at will, on the company dime. Then we also give these days off for being a vendor for our company as well.
