Role Description The Cleaning Specialist role is a part-time, on-site position located in Sacramento, CA. This role is responsible for performing daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation in commercial environments. The Cleaning Specialist will maintain floors, windows, and carpets, ensure proper use and storage of cleaning supplies and equipment, and follow safety and hygiene protocols. Responsibilities also include monitoring supply levels, reporting maintenance or safety issues, and meeting established quality and time standards. The role requires working independently or as part of a team while maintaining professional conduct in client spaces.
Qualifications
- Experience with commercial cleaning tasks, including offices, retail spaces, and common areas.
- Skills in commercial cleaning, including, bistro, break rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and routine light maintenance.
- Proficiency in window cleaning, including interior and exterior glass surfaces where safely accessible.
- Knowledge of carpet care, including vacuuming, spot treatment, and basic stain removal.
- Ability to follow cleaning schedules and checklists, with strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
- Understanding of basic safety practices, including proper chemical handling and use of personal protective equipment, colored coded cleaning clothes.
- Reliable transportation to the Sacramento CA metro areas, worksite and ability to work part-time, evening to night shifts and possible multiple locations as scheduled.
- Effective and great communication skills, professionalism in and around client and team member interactions, and ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift moderate loads, stand and move for extended periods, and use cleaning equipment.
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred but not required; on-the-job training may be provided.
