PH Group is hiring experienced CDL-A drivers for specialized transportation and oilfield work based in Williston, North Dakota.
The Pay—Do the Math
At our top rate of $35 per hour, working 80 paid hours per week while on rotation:
- 40 regular hours × $35 = $1,400
- 40 overtime hours × $52.50 = $2,100
- Total weekly gross pay = $3,500
- $3,500 × 34.7 scheduled working weeks = $121,450 in annual gross wages
- $40 housing per diem × 243 scheduled workdays = $9,720
- TOTAL ANNUAL WAGES AND HOUSING PER DIEM: $131,170
You Do Not Have to Work Your Days Off to Earn $131,170
That total is earned working your regular 20-days-on/10-days-off rotation at the $35 top rate and selecting the housing per diem.
It does not include:

All work is performed in accordance with applicable FMCSA hours-of-service requirements.
Pay Progression
- $30–$35 per hour
- Overtime paid after 40 hours
- Your hourly rate increases as you are trained and signed off on additional types of work
- Reach $35 per hour once qualified for our top level of assignments
- Average 80 paid hours per week while on rotation
- Eight hours of holiday pay for every company-recognized holiday—even when you are scheduled off

Your Schedule
- 20 days on / 10 days off

Housing
Choose between:
- Company-provided housing, or
- $40 per day worked in housing per diem when you arrange your own housing
Drivers selecting the housing per diem receive $9,720 per year based on a full 20-on/10-off rotation.

The Work
This is not a standard highway-driving position. Our drivers transport compressed gases, propane, diesel, equipment, and oversize/over-dimensional loads throughout North Dakota and other operating areas.
We need professional drivers who are comfortable with winter conditions, manual transmissions, changing assignments, specialized transportation, and hands-on field work.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum of three years of professional CDL driving & Hazmat experience
- Hazmat endorsement
- Tanker endorsement
- Doubles/Triples endorsement
- Manual-transmission experience; 18-speed preferred
- Winter-driving and tire-chain experience
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Willingness to assist with field and yard work when required
- Ability to meet DOT and company safety requirements
Responsibilities
- Safely transport hazmat, equipment, and over-dimensional loads
- Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Properly secure loads and complete required hazmat and shipping documentation
- Plan routes and comply with DOT regulations, permits, and company policies
- Safely position equipment at loading and unloading locations
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and field personnel
- Report equipment defects, incidents, and safety concerns promptly
- Help maintain trucks and equipment to PH Group standards
