Accounting Manager

Onsite Requirements:

This is a full-time, in-office position based at our Fenton, MO location. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week. Additional hours may be required based on business needs.

Essential Job Functions:

• Preparing and/or reviewing ledger entries and reconciliations.
•  Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Presenting to the Controller for final review.
•  Maintaining the general ledger system and assisting with new system automation.
• Assist with the budget process.
• Supervise current accounting staff, provide guidance and support. Hire and train additional staff as needed.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary information and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and internal policies.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Preferred CPA.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Relevant work experience 4 years.

Essentials Skills:

• Ability to motivate, guide and supervise accounting staff.
• Strong ability to analyze financial data.
• Effective communication with colleagues, management and owners.
• Ability to identify and resolve financial issues.
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems. Currently we use Micro Soft Business Central and FYI Soft Reporting. Knowledge in either is a plus.
• Critical Thinking- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Time Management- Managing one’s own time and the time of others.
