Junior Business Analyst – Data Management Office

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Junior Business Analyst to join the Data Management Office of a bank in New York City. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, working knowledge of SQL, and the ability to collaborate with various business and technology stakeholders to support data management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from various stakeholders.
  

• Work closely with business users, IT teams, and data management teams to identify business needs and develop solutions.
  

• Use SQL to query, analyze, and validate data.
  

• Assist in identifying and resolving data quality issues and process inefficiencies.
  

• Support data management projects, including documentation, testing, and implementation.
  

• Communicate project updates, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  

• 0–3 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a related field.
  

• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  

• Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and analytical skills.
  

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  

• Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across business and technology teams.
  

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior internship or work experience in banking or financial services.
  

• Basic understanding of data governance, data quality, or data management concepts.
  

• Familiarity with Excel, Jira, or other business analysis tools.
