We are seeking a strategic, collaborative, and forward-thinking leader for this critical Director role in the FRC team. This position provides oversight of SOX and MAR controls across PGIM. You will be guiding the FRC team through ongoing transformation, change leadership, and continuous improvement in Prudential’s evolving risk and control landscape while also providing support and oversight of the governance of Prudential’s global SOX / MAR program. Additionally, you will also help foster a culture of trust, inclusion, and continuous improvement, aligned with Prudential’s core values.
The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence 3 days per week. Your manager will provide additional details relative to days you are expected to be on-site.

The salary range for this role is from $147,100.00 to $220,700.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.

What You'll Do
- Provide leadership and direct accountability for SOX and MAR controls across PGIM, with a particular focus on transforming controls and supporting enterprise-wide change initiatives.
- Drive financial reporting control efforts and lead the identification and design of key controls for new and evolving strategic initiatives, ensuring robust risk management and regulatory compliance throughout transformation.
- Identify and develop control issues as they arise, analyze root causes, and partner with management to design and implement meaningful actions that address underlying problems, ensuring control design is adequate and enhanced controls are operating effectively.
- Oversee the work of Ernst Young co-sources supporting key deliverables including testing.
- Provide oversight of the governance of the SOX/MAR program by creating a cycle calendar, distributing communications to the businesses, setting materiality and scoping thresholds, providing senior management reporting, timely issue resolution, and overseeing the EY co-source budget.
- Coordinate extensively with Prudential’s control partners, including Internal Audit, Operational Risk, Compliance, and the Company’s external auditor, PwC, to ensure alignment, transparency, and effective execution of risk and control initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and partner across the enterprise, fostering stakeholder relationships and upholding Prudential’s standards of integrity.
- Extensive experience in evaluating risks and controls, including a strong understanding of SOX and MAR requirements
- Knowledge of Prudential’s PGIM businesses
- Knowledge of PGIM’s financial reporting and month end processes
- Works independently and delivers high quality outputs
- Demonstrated success in supporting and developing cross-functional teams, including offshore members, in highly regulated environments.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in achieving long-term goals while managing short-term challenges.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a challenging environment.
- Clear and effective writing skills
- Uses strong influencing skills to achieve objectives
- CPA designation strongly preferred
