Resident Engineer

Responsibilities:

• 
  Technical compliance and administration of construction contracts.
• 
  Enforcing contract terms and conditions.
• 
  Documentation of contractual actions.
• 
  Interfaces with the owner, engineers, architects, and other third parties.
• 
  Implementation of cost and schedule control procedures for construction management.
• 
  Management of field staff, including inspectors and office engineers.
• 
  Management of RFIs, submittals, and construction changes.
• 
  Review of contractor payment requests.
• 
  Resolution of construction disputes.
• 
  Development of periodic reports providing information on construction progress, schedule status, cost/budget status, and quality assurance activities.

Qualifications:

• 
  Minimum of 5 Years (10 Years is preferred).
• 
  Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 
  Registration as a Professional Engineer in MA is a plus.
• 
  Valid driver’s license.
• 
  Knowledge of the principles of communications systems. In addition, knowledge of P25 radio systems is desirable.
• 
  Experience in Engineering and Construction Management. Minimum of 5 years experience in the construction industry serving in similar capacities. Experience working with heavy rail systems a plus.
• 
  Experience with e-Builder is a plus.

Skills and Competencies:

• 
  Excellent coordination and oral and written communication skills are required.
• 
  Understands the development of CPM Schedules from Baseline Schedules to Monthly Updates.
• 
  Ability to work in a team environment.
