What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpet Cleaning Technician position at PG Long?
PG Long is a Family-owned business in Idaho, Oregon and Washington. The Idaho Branch proudly serves the Treasure Valley and surrounding areas. Our technicians are hard-working, meticulous, customer-service focused, responsible and trustworthy. We offer residential and commercial carpet cleaning, repair, and upholstery cleaning services. Training is provided.
We provide opportunities for commission, bonuses, and advanced training/education. Applicants for this position must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Daily Tasks
- Communicate with clients and other staff members via phone and in-person.
- Perform or assist in all duties necessary to provide quality carpet cleaning (Set up the van at the job site properly, safely/productively prepare the home for cleaning, clear communication with clients, follow all procedures for pre-conditioning/deodorizing/extraction/stain protection, maintain cleanliness throughout the home during service, etc.)
- Keep proper inventory of equipment, cleaning agents and other items on truck.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Consistently interact professionally with clients and staff.
- Strong attention to detail and follow through.
- Consistent and reliable attendance.
- Ability to read/analyze daily job notes and schedule.
- Full range of physical mobility (position requires sustained sitting, standing, stooping, lifting as much as 50 lbs., carrying, repetitive motions due primarily to cleaning work).
- Understanding of dilution ratios for mixing of products (training provided).
- Valid driver's license (technicians are responsible for driving company vehicles to each job)
- Must maintain a clean driving record
- Willingness to maintain a clean/organized environment
- Must keep provided uniforms and appearance clean and professional at all times.
- Ability to work alone (be self-directed, complete tasks as assigned, and physically assist customers and problem solve).
Pay
- $20-$22 to start, flipping to 25% commission after training period.
