Drywall Hanger and Finisher

Duties

• Measure, cut, hang, and secure drywall panels according to project specifications and schematics
• Finish drywall joints by taping, mudding, sanding, and applying texture to achieve smooth surfaces
• Install additional components such as corner beads, trims, and moldings to enhance wall finishes
• Read blueprints and schematics to accurately execute installation plans and identify material requirements
• Perform plastering, caulking, and sealing to ensure durable and professional finishes
• Collaborate with carpenters, plumbers, masons, and other trades to coordinate installation processes on-site
• Conduct quality inspections throughout the project to ensure adherence to safety standards and craftsmanship excellence

Skills

• Extensive experience in drywall hanging and finishing techniques with a keen eye for detail
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and schematics interpretation
• Proficiency in related skills such as plastering, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, tile laying, and flooring installation
• Familiarity with restoration industry practices including water damage restoration and mold remediation
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools (including airless paint sprayers), and measuring devices accurately
• Experience with fixture installation, door hanging, construction painting, masonry work, and remodeling projects is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and project managers

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
