Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Pflugerville, TX, for a Special Education Teacher. The Special Education Teacher will work with middle school students with diverse learning needs. Responsibilities include designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), adapting lesson plans to meet the needs of students with disabilities, providing direct instruction, and collaborating with other educators and families to support student success. Additionally, the teacher will monitor progress and foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in addressing the needs of students with disabilities and an understanding of Special Education principles
- Experience teaching middle school students and developing lesson plans tailored to diverse learner needs
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment
- State certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain certification in the state of Texas) is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field
- Experience using classroom technology and educational tools is an advantage
